Otophonic Out March 26th
After starting 2020 with the stunning 80s tribute track Ferrofluid, Assonance returns, lending his talents to the softer musical arm of Drum & Bass, Liquid Funk. Inspired by one of his musical influences Jon Hopkins, Assonance has created a fantastic fusion of soft upright pianos with menacing bass lines, all recorded through his Thermionic Culture Vulture to add a hint of extra aggression.
Opening with a stunning sonically colourful reprise, and utilising the talents of Beth Browne, Otophonic paints a gorgeous collage of beautiful vocal snippets, Roland Space echo delays, organic instrumentation and real analogue synthetic ear candy to build anticipation as to what grizzly darkness is to follow in true Hexmark style.
Make sure you check out this summer roller and be sure to add it to your play list for 2020.
